Meet Our Sites!
Green Iowa AmeriCorps began serving Black Hawk and Linn counties with site offices in Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids in January 2009. With an extremely successful first year, we opened two additional sites in Decorah (Winneshiek County) and Dubuque (Dubuque County). A new site in Des Moines (Polk County) followed in 2013. In 2016 we started a site in Iowa City! Our two newest sites started in 2018, are Milford and Davenport! With eight site locations, Green Iowa AmeriCorps' services reach thousands of households across Iowa!

2017-2018 Service Team
Green Iowa AmeriCorps is proud to present the 2017-2018 service members in Cedar Falls! These dedicated members work out of the University of Northern Iowa's Center for Energy and Environmental Education and provide residential weatherizations and energy audits, environmental education, and outreach services to the communities within and around the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area.
We'd like to welcome the service team for the 2017-2018 year from the left: Megan Gregorsok, Kyle Bates, Marrina Gallant, and Sean Reville!
The Cedar Falls crew looks forward to servicing Black Hawk County and the surrounding areas with both continued projects and residential weatherizations as well as expanding on our education and outreach base within the community. Projects on the horizon for GIAC in Cedar Falls include:
- Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity weekly volunteer services
- After-school program presentations on energy conservation
- Annual Holiday Lights Recycling Drive
- Partnership with the Healthy Cedar Valley Coalition
- Sustainabilty educational events at Hearst Center for the Arts
