Green Iowa AmeriCorps began serving Black Hawk and Linn counties with site offices in Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids in January 2009. With an extremely successful first year, we opened two additional sites in Decorah (Winneshiek County) and Dubuque (Dubuque County). A new site in Des Moines (Polk County) followed in 2013. In 2016 we started a site in Iowa City! Our two newest sites started in 2018, are Milford and Davenport! With eight site locations, Green Iowa AmeriCorps' services reach thousands of households across Iowa!

Davenport is one of two new sites for the 2018-2019 term. The Davenport crew is ready to assist Scott County residents with increased home energy efficiency through energy assessments and weatherization services. Additionally, members are dedicated to engaging the community through educational and outreach events.
Davenport Green Iowa looks forward to providing free home energy assessments and weatherization services throughout the Scott County area from their host site of Community Action of Eastern Iowa. The team also looks forward to working with community members and organizations to implement environmental educational and volunteer outreach events.
